Dr Raisi awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree of University of Karachi

The President of Karachi University presented the honorary doctorate degree of this university to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in a ceremony attended by the officials of the state of Sindh, representatives of the state parliament and a number of faculty members of the university.

Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, who has travelled to Karachi, the capital of Sindh province, received an honorary doctorate degree from the representatives of the state parliament and local authorities and a number of faculty members of the University of Karachi from Professor Khaled Iraqi, the President of the university, and in the presence of Governor and Chief Minister of Punjab province.
In this ceremony, Professor Iraqi stated, "This honorary doctorate degree is given to the president based on his educational records and scientific degrees in the field of jurisprudence and law, as well as Dr Raisi's long experience in the judicial field".
The University of Karachi, as the largest university in Pakistan, has a history of 73 years and is one of the most important and prestigious universities in the region, where many Iranian students are also studying.
